(Mario Miranda sent this email on June 2, 2003)

The SCAPI officers met yesterday morning at the
foodcourt of Shangrila.  The following matters
related to the Nationals were finalized:

* Registration - Col. Malonzo will need assistants on
the first day.  ID's will be issued, and the
registrants will fill up the information sheet.  As of
last count, more than 60 players are either registered
or made reservations.

* A short program will be held where Mayor Belmonte
will deliver a very short remark, do the ceremonial
move, and declare the Nationals open.

* Members are requested to bring their timers only.

* Some members will work on June 5, between 9 and 11
pm to prepare the playing area.  They will also work
on June 8 same time to tidy up the area.

* Pairing of the players for the first round will be
done by the committee composed of Col. Malonzo, Ric
Indiongco, Rolly Mandapat, Ric Marinas, and Mario
Miranda.  The succeeding rounds will be based on the
performance of the players.

* Alex Dinoy is the tournament director.  He was given
the power to run the tournament, including crowd

playing tables, as open book.
