Details of the tournament can be found here.

The tournament was held in the International Horizon College located at the 42nd floor of the U-Bora Towers. This is probably the highest floor level where a tournament has been held.

But what's more interesting to see were the scenery overlooking the tallest tower in the world, Burj Khalifa and its surrounding views. I have taken snapshots from the 42nd floor where we were playing.

There were 27 participants but out of the 24 rounds that I played, I met only nine players due to repeats, with a maximum of 4 times for one player. As it turned out, I met Alastair Richards, Navya Zaveri and Syed Yasir Jamshaid four times each. Trice each versus Ralph Lobo and Eric Kinderman. While some others, I met them twice or once. I will post another blog for my game summary.

Awarding:
(Yours truly at 3rd Place)

(Navya Zaveri in 2nd Place)

(Champion - Alastair Richards)

I have created a photo album of this tourney here.
