Highlights:

 In the penultimate round, I (6, +354) was paired to Marlon (5, +153) and the result was a complete massacre! I was beaten black and blue, 516-315 a whopping 201 pt. spread by Marlon who played 3 bingos, TWOCcER, GLUCINA and a nice set-up play of JINN hooking the last D to JINN to form RaPIDER! Not only that, he also scored heavily with FENIS 48 pts and FIZ 52 pts.

 Due to this, Marlon got ahead 6, +354 who was paired at board 1 to Bonnie (6, +234) in the last round. I (6, +199) was paired to Bing Encalen (5, +276) at board 2.

 Marlon faltered in the endgame losing to Bonnie by a mere 11 pts. (413-402) via a grandslam bingo move from a rack of ?EINSTY thru floater letter C as the last letter of the word. According to Marlon, the loss was attributed by not leaving at least 1 tile in the bag after blocking the other potential bingo lane, thereby giving Bonnie the game winning move!

 At board 2, I beat Bing, 461-349 to tie Bonnie with 7 wins but his inferior spread placed him 2nd. This was a few occasion wherein a board 2 player wins it.

Bonnie dealt the 3 losses of Marlon in their 3 outings. In rd 4, 442-417 and rd 6, 364-311.

My 2 losses were at the expense of Marlon. One of which was an analytic endgame which I lost by 1 pt. in round 3.

The board position, current scores and racks were:

Ronald: KYERESD - 345
Marlon:   -     - 389
Unseen: ADDFIIILO

Marlon's last play was CIS 14j blocking the most obvious bingo lane for me. I've got plenty of options such as DYKES 10dm YORKED c7, YOD c7, RYES 10e, BY 7b, BYES b7, EYE 9b and YODE c7.

The actual moves were:

1. Ronald: KYDERES - YORKED c7 33 -> 378 (and drew AD)
2. Marlon: FAOIIIL - FADO  12a 24 -> 413
3. Ronald: SAED    - SAZ   10h 28 -> 406 (what a miss!)
4. Marlon: LIII    - LI    d5  13 -> 426
5. Ronald: DE      - DE    g4  15 -> 421+4 (II)= 425
                                     and I lose by 1

Analysis:

Of my 7 choices of move, I consulted with Maven and found these results after 40,000 iterations:

YOD  c7  46.7 (sims best)
YODE c7 43.6
BY   7b 41.2
BYES 7b 39.9
EYE  9b 37.2
YORKED c7 28.5
RYES  10e  23.7
DYKES 10d 23.11

Assuming I played YOD and picked up AD in the bag, the best continuation would be:

1. Ronald: KYREDSE - YOD c7 29 -> 374
2. Marlon: FAOLIII - AIM 9f 6 -> 395 (blocking SKEARED f8)
3. Ronald: KDERESA - RADS 10e 30 -> 404
4. Marlon: FOLII -  UFO  n1 24 -> 419
5. Ronald: EKE - EKE 11c  422+6 (IIL) = 428

Going back to the actual moves above, I missed a draw starting at move 3. The play should have went to:

3. Ronald: ADES - SEZ 10d 28 -> 406 (a play of DAES 10e would lose by 4 pts,)
4. Marlon: LIII - LI i5 13 -> 426
5. Ronald: AD   - LAD g2 16 -> 422+4 (OII)= 426(drawn)

However, draw can be avoided if he played ALIF d12 instead of FADO 12a. Let us see:

2. Marlon: FAOLIII - ALIF d12 28 -> 417
3. Ronald: ADES    - FADES 15d 27 -> 405+6 (OII)=411

There are plenty of variations but I leave to you the best ideas that you would want to share.
