Format:
The tournament began with a 21-round robin from 21 human players and 1 Computer Player or Quackle. Then human players continued from round 22 till 26, while Quackle did not resume in those rounds. The top performing human player would receive $3,000 then to play Quackle in a best-of-4-game showdown and the winner would receive additional $500. 2nd and 3rd Placer from the Preliminaries would receive $1,000 and $700, respectively.
