Naween Fernando vs. Andrew Fisher
Game 1:
Naween got down the first bingo, OUTLEARN in the early going. Andrew later countered with ANTLERS to take the lead, 156-123. Naween tried to catch up, but then Andrew got the blank and bingoed with TOADLIkE to surge ahead, 308-199. Not losing hope, Naween was able to maximize with ZOWIE (52 pts) followed by TEAPOYS (79) to cut down the lead by 7 points (359-352). At this point, Andrew holding EIMRRSU missed a bingo and settled for MURES (38 pts) to lead temporarily, 390-359. That was the turning point of the game as Naween made the classic endgame move, and the rest was history. Let's find out.

Game 2
The first rack of Naween was not recorded because he exchanged tiles, quickly. Anyway, he bingoed with his next move, TERRAPIN. Andrew responded with VIRELAY hooking on NOETIC. Then, Andrew bingoed once more with GUTTIER, to lead 117-203. Naween, holding ?ABELOX opted to play BORAX (60) keeping the blank, instead of a bingo. But when Naween got the second blank, he laid down tELFErS (88 pts), to recover the lead, 265-236. In the succeeding plays, Andrew's rack worsened while Naween kept control of the board until the end to win the championship. Final score: 443-407.
